Video: Implosion May Have Set World Record
Yes - to the annoying URL changes,
Everything you hate about the changes is exactly what I hate about the changes too (although the TypePad stats have always been rubbish, so I haven't looked at them in years - those changes are no great loss).
Also, I find it times out much more easily. Previously, if my TypePad session timed-out when I hit save, the changes I had made were saved. Now it does not so I have to copy the entire post before I press save - irritating if I'm drafting a long post.
I'd suggest opening a help ticket if I thought it would actually do any good. I opened loads when I got the changes a couple of weeks ago and, although I got responses, I don't feel it really got me anywhere.
I'd switch back to the old version in an instant . As I said on my blog, this is more of a downgrade than an 'improvement'. I blog less because of the changes.
I agree with your downgrade statement. What's worse - we pay for this!
It took me a while to figure out how to change the time stamp of a post, and don't get me started on the 'new improved' way to upload and post graphics.
At least you are comfortable using HTML editing. That seems to be the only resort for me. Text handling is next to impossible, in both Safari and Firefox. Cutting and pasting text means importing a bunch of crap formatting.
Loading photos is now a cumbersome, faulty process.
In short, blogging is no longer fun.
